Flower Valley is a 133-acre parcel located in Huailai County in northwest Beijing.  It consists of a 60-acre vineyard  planted to vitis vinifera  (popular varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay) with another 40 acres designated to be additional vineyard land and, finally, a 33-acre section that will be home to a winery (50,000 case capacity), wine warehouse and the Global Wine Expo.

The Global Wine Expo has been authorized by the government to selectively enlist 40 foreign wineries to populate the Expo.   Flower Valley Winery has a permit to import foreign wine, and it has already imported a number of  California wines for display and sales in its exclusive California Wine Club wine tasting bar in the heart of Beijing.

Flower Valley derives its name from the spectacular array of wildflowers that have been planted on the grounds, making it a destination for its beauty, as well as being the future home of the Global Wine Expo.
